Join Hamish in his native Aotearoa and let him show you a few of the hidden secrets and classic adventures on offer in New Zealand. This is an adventure with a familiar, but adventurous edge. Kiwi hospitality is infamous, but traveling New Zealand exploring the parts off the beaten track and “treats” many kiwis know about, make this the perfect adventure. Whether it is eating fish and chips and paua (abalone) fritters out of newspaper from the best fish and chip shop, or heading out for an overnight cruise in the Bay Of Islands, this trip thrives on being super fun and friendly. We’ll paddle a selection of rivers, but this trip is about so much more than rafting. We are excited to make this the best holiday you have ever had!

Too Much Fun

27th January 2024

We have gone on trips with Hamish in the past and he has been wanting to see his NZ. We signed up and loved his itinerary, trying to show us as much as he could in the time allotted. I recommend this trip because we saw so much and did so many fun things. New Zealand has it all and if you have more time, spend it down there along with Hamish’s trip.

Best way to see New Zealand

7th January 2023

In November 2022 we joined Hamish on the Multi Activity Tour of New Zealand. We can’t speak highly enough of our trip. The sea kayaking and camping, the helicopter access to the white water rafting, swimming with dolphins and jet boating were some of the real adrenaline fuelled activities, but the trip was so much more than this. We were treated to amazing food wherever we were, be it in a restaurant or by the campfire. We enjoyed the company of fun like minded people.

Best of all we had a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Kiwi to guide and educate us, from Wekas to Tim Tams. Hamish’s positivity and enthusiasm were catching and the translation of the Kiwi language was very helpful to the Brits and Americans in our group. Meeting members of his family brought further insight into New Zealand life. It certainly was a journey of a lifetime for us.

Trip of a lifetime!

4th January 2023

I anticipated a great trip to Hamish’s native New Zealand, after all, his stated intent was to make this “the best vacation of your life”, and I had been on two previous fabulous Water by Nature trips, first white water rafting and exploring the Sahara in Morocco, then sailing in the Greek Islands. What I did not expect was that our small group of five travelers quickly transformed into a family and how deeply attached to New Zealand I became during our travels.

Hamish is the ultimate ambassador and host – from swimming with dolphins, meeting members of his family at some great restaurants, taking a helicopter into a gorgeous white water river, to days kayak camping on the golden beaches of Abel Tazman National Park, Hamish was sensitive to the energy and interests of our group and able to amend plans rapidly when necessary. I might have spent months in research and preparations attempting to create the dynamic itinerary that allowed us to be amazed by museums, outdoor adventures, great food, and camaraderie, but I could not have created such a superb introduction to the best of both North and South Islands. I am so grateful to have seen this beautiful country under the expert guidance of a master. If I could give ten stars I would!
