Overview

Nepal as a holiday destination is plain fantastic. A kingdom steeped in history and dominated by the majestic Himalayas, it enthrals all who enter. One of the best ways to explore and discover this remarkable land is to get away from the towns and roads and embark on a trekking and rafting adventure – the snows of Kachenjunga feed this less known, but very spectacular tributary of the Sun Kosi, the Tamur River which offers amazing mountain views with an exhilarating river journey! The trek is one of the most spectacular in Nepal, with outstanding views of Kachenjunga, Makalu and Everest. Our amazing team of seventy porters who help carry all our gear into the river is truly a sight to behold. This is an expedition with it all! What you should bring

We find most of our clients have in their posession already what is needed for a river rafting journey. We have broken down here the items into what you’ll need on the river and in camp. We also suggest you take a quick look at the video on How To Pack A Dry Bag. An equipment list of what you will require for your adventure will be sent to you prior to your departure along with a Water By Nature Travel Bag. This will be very useful for putting your drybag into for the flight to Biratnagar.

Bucket List

4th February 2023

Visited Nepal in October 2022 after delaying our trip for a couple of years due to the pandemic. We loved it – the views from the hike are stunning and the rafting was great fun. Met some lovely people and were safely guided down the river by Stan, Derek, Denesh & co who are a credit to the company. While you’re there I would recommend booking a few extra nights – Kathmandu is awesome too so much to see and do. We probably won’t return to Nepal (too many more places in the world to visit) but this is definitely a bucket list trip.

My trip to Nepal with Water By Nature was absolutely fantastic, I loved it so much I’m going again this year! Great crew, very professional – and experts with a throw bag when I took an unexpected swim from the raft! Awesome time had by all.
